Title IX Training Materials

All individuals involved in the grievance process, including the Title IX Coordinator, investigators, hearing officer(s)/panel(s), appeal officer(s), and any person designed to facilitate an informal resolution process, will receive training on the definition of sexual harassment, the scope of UIC’s education program and activity, how to conduct an investigation and grievance process (including hearings, appeal, and informal resolution processes), how to serve impartially (by avoiding prejudgment of fact at issue, conflicts of interest, and bias), any technology to be used at a live hearing, issues of relevance of questions and evidence, and issues of relevance to create an investigative report that fairly summarizes relevant evidence.

This webpage contains the materials used to train those individuals in accordance with the regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX).
