As part of the Office of the Chancellor, the Office for Access and Equity (OAE), strives to increase access to employment, programs, and services in an environment free of unlawful discrimination and harassment. The Title IX Coordinator within OAE is committed to providing an educational and work environment that is free from all forms of sex discrimination, sexual or gender-based harassment, and all other sexual misconduct (collectively referred to as “sexual misconduct”). In addition to the Title IX Coordinator, our staff includes Deputy Title IX Coordinators, who provide information, support, and resources to individuals who are affected by sexual misconduct.
The Title IX Coordinator supports the entire UIC community in a neutral role, meaning that all members of the University community can access our resources. Our office provides support and training, as well as receives complaints and conducts investigations of incidents of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct. We also provide Dispute Resolution Services to community members, including facilitation of informal resolutions.
