Standard of Proof
Also known as burden of proof. For the purposes of the university’s Title IX investigation and the disciplinary process, all conclusions and recommendations will be determined using the preponderance of the evidence standard. The preponderance of the evidence standard requires the Investigator to recommend whether it is more likely than not that the alleged conduct constitutes a violation of the UIC Sexual Misconduct Policy.
