Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (ANCRA)
The “Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act” (ANCRA) requires mandatory reporting to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services by individuals who suspect cases of child abuse or neglect. All UIC employees, including faculty and staff, are required by law to report any suspected instance of child abuse.
